Courageous in Faith and Obedience

Sunday Round Up — 17/5/26

There is a stirring in the Spirit. You can feel it before you can name it — that holy tension that tells you God is moving. Joel’s prayer this week has been for our community, our homes, and the nations. The march in London was more than a headline; it was a signpost. A moment where the Lord is turning the eyes of a nation back toward Him.

“Bring them to the crossroads,” he prayed, “and ask them to examine the ancient ways.”

Because to live as Christ is to die as gain — and He is calling us to live. Not half‑alive, not spiritually anaemic, but divinely and supernaturally empowered. Called to impact. Called to awaken. Called to move.

And heaven is saying, “Here we go. It’s time.”

The Tension Before the Release

There is tension in the spirit, and God has allowed it so that we would lean on Him completely. Not on our own understanding, not on our own strength, not on the noise of the world — but on Him.

The release of that tension has already begun. So get ready. The Lord is in control — not a government or a system.

Daniel 10 reminds us of this. Michael, the warrior angel of heaven, was dispatched in response to Daniel’s prayer. Daniel prayed like we do — with longing, with questions, with persistence. The delay was not denial; it was divine tension.

Last week John prophesied about 21 days. But in Hebrew numeracy, 21 days is actually 20 days. And numbers matter. They reveal patterns, timing, and the heartbeat of God.

20 means waiting, delay, expectation, maturing, accountability. It carries the pictograph of a man’s head — authority, first, top. The emphasis was never “Will the angel arrive?” The conclusion was already written: God is for you.

21, represented by a crown, means answer, rest, holiness, judgement, perfection, divine restoration. The answer is on the way. And God is asking us to take courage in the waiting — because restoration is coming to every area of life.

The emphasis wasn’t ‘will the angel arrive?’ It is a forgone conclusion – he is always for you. It was never about the delay.

The Call to Courage

God asked Joshua to stand and take courage. Courage is not a feeling; it is a spiritual quality — power, confidence, conviction, the ability to act despite what you see.

You are in Christ, and Christ is in you. How can you be anything but courageous?

We don’t see much courage today because courage requires conviction. If I believe a lie, I can be courageous in the wrong direction. But when I believe truth — courage rises.

This is the same call to Cross Over. He is summoning His people to courage.

Deuteronomy 31:6 and Joshua 1:6–9 echo the same command:

Be strong and courageous. I am with you wherever you go.

There is a mandate on these lands — an unfulfilled destiny. A territorial spirit sits over the nation of Britain just as it did over Babylon. But Britain was built on the Word, whether people acknowledge it or not. And because Christ is in you, you are a fulfilment of the law.

So be a people of focus. A people of conviction. A people who walk through every door God opens.

Taking Back the Land

He is with you. But we think in linear terms — right, wrong, cause, effect — and our perspective creates tension. We take our eyes off Christ and fix them on the problem. We return to Eden and draw from the Tree of Knowledge: my principle, my decision.

But Jesus says, “I died for you, not for myself.”

Take back the land — your workplace, your home, your community. Ask for opportunities. Be in tune with Him. Wherever you go, He goes. He cannot deny Himself.

Speak a better word — restoration, not lies.

Putting Your Foot on the Neck of the Enemy

Joshua 10:24–27 is a picture for us today. The kings — representing roots, default behaviours, hindrances — were brought out and made to lie down. Joshua commanded the men to put their feet on their necks.

“Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all your enemies.”

See the victory in your life and your family. Jesus takes an axe to the roots. Some roots need digging up. Some need cutting. If your roots are in Him, fruit is inevitable.

God stopped the sun for Joshua. That is the measure He will go to for His people.

So be ruthless with your flesh. Take captive every thought. Choose the Spirit over the flesh. Be ruthless with the lies that push you into caves of hiding. God is calling you out of the cave and into the light — because in Him there is no darkness.

Romans 16:20 promises that the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet. Swiftly. Quickly. Jesus’ power surrounds you.

Put your foot on the neck of every idol — lust, fear, money, pornography, self‑reliance. Thus far and no further. Your past does not dictate your future. Your hope is in Christ.

Let God expose what needs to die. Let Him hang it on the tree. Let Him bury it in the cave. And walk away free.

Courage in the Storm

Acts 27 shows us Paul’s courage. The captain listened to human intelligence, but Paul heard God in the storm.

“I have faith.” “I see above the situation and decay.” “It will be exactly as God says it will be.”

God’s promise rarely comes the way we expect. But He gives us a choice: Choose transformation.

Paul chose courage — and many came to know Christ because of it.

There is freedom in Christ. But there is a choice.

Faith That Sees Beyond Provision

Matthew 9:22 — “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.” She tried everything. Nothing worked. But she heard about Jesus and knew: He is my answer.

One touch from the King changed everything. It wasn’t the action — it was her faith.

Mark 10:49–52 — Bartimaeus threw off his cloak without hesitation. Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?” He didn’t force Himself. He invited faith.

“Go, your faith has healed you.”

God is always at work, even when we cannot see it. The outcome may not look like we imagined, but Jesus is healer — unchanging, unwavering, unaltered by our expectations.

The Final Call

So be courageous in faith and obedience. If I live, I live for Him. If I die, I die for Him.

This is the hour. This is the tension before the release. This is the call to courage.

Cross over. 

Take the land. 

Stand firm. 

He is with you wherever you go.
